I feel like letting my freak flag fly...

Seems that I'm still alive, just nauseous and dizzy. For the week I have some errands and a documents package, I just hope that by the end of the week I have printed the first draft of the thesis, but first I have to check it.

I really wanted to make this post before and Yukimura's BD came on handy (even a date late, but I redacted this between yesterday and today).
First I have to say that even when I have the 20.5 scans, I don't understand a shit about it and I haven't read THAT thoroughly the manga and I may be wrong in some points, For the same reasons, I don't know about the rajipuris and the free talks on the singles, so my point is really, really biased and I declare my linguistic incompetence already. so come on and slay me. Oops, I forgot this is the Dead Zone. Whatever.

For me, Yukimura is quite a mistery on the tenipuri verse. Because of the small appeareances at the manga and the way the anime handles him like a girl (The Yukimuraaaaa!!!! joke works only once, like Tezuka's shoulder gag, even when I think the chibi episodes are really good) and just don't go to the bromides, PLEASE DON'T MAKE HIM AN OBACHAN!!

If Yukimura is Rikkai's buchou, he must be great. And even the brief lines, spoke a bit about his personality: He's a DEMON player (even when we haven't seen him in which sense, just the fact that he is strong), got the instinct, he's quite bitchy, is obsessed about the form, apparently he don't get intimidated easily and its better fear him when he is nice.
Nobody doubts the loyalty of his team, but what kind of leader is him? How deep is his relationship with Renji and Genichirou? Does he really only wants to win?

Yeah, I really want to watch him at full force. I just hope that Konomi-sensei don't fuck up all the expectations and give us another Genius 336, even if he gives us a Sanayuki kiss on the court. Or he better not dare to make him faint right after the end of the match so we get the "YUKIMURAAA!!!" in manga verse while Sanada picks him up, please :P.

EDIT: since I'm so mada mada dane, I saw in FET Yukimura's facts, but still I don't have much info, sorry ::fails::

I'm really amazed by the way fandom fills in the blanks and how establish all the slash possibilities. There are many who state that he's a real bitch (and create many levels of bitchiness), the ones that write quite interesting matches for him since we don't have much info about his play (but he can use that SOSA Muga no kyouchi thing), from the ones that do a head-over-heels Yukimura or the ones who make such brilliant grown-up AUs with him.

This get me to the keyword FANDOM. I don't repeat the post of days before, just scroll down on the main page.
The drama of the week consisted on a fic and the reactions it provoked. And I guess many people know about what I'm talking, I won't link it because maybe by this time the post is already deleted (and I don't know how to link). And it happened on monday, we still have the rest of the week.

We're in a matter of incompetent readers (in the Literary Theory sense, I don't know if the translation is correct). That's what the tag Author's Note is for, her intentions were quite established.
I know Reposoir's work, I can see that fic following a particular development (the Satomizu thing) and as always, her writing is great and is always a pleasure his manage of D1 and the way she constructs Yanagi.
Since everybody is different, people have different senses of humor, so many can't get it, get it wrong or get it and disagree.
I found more bashing in a character level the Konami bromides than the way she handled Yukimura, really. And this is a fan fiction. I can't remember who said it on the thread but the purpose of it is filling the empty spaces and make the characters do something that would or not would do, as a "what if"-verse. I agree. It's not to take it that personally.

As the data says, there are many sand boxes in tenipuri fandom, actually, every fandom is composed by many sandboxes, you know? But it's really low to jump into someone's sandbox and do some hairpulling. It only provokes a campal battle. And as naive as I am, I don't want to think that this attack has a purpose because if he/she justifies doing it so "because you thrashed a fic of a friend of mine", but the question is still in the air.
Yes, the poster of the comment will sleep at night saying that he/she defended his/her point and was being honest, but for other people that was not enough to justify being rude. I can even say that the way He/she phrased the comment, it was going along with the reading, talking about the 1st impression and how he/she was getting the idea of the fic. So yes, anybody can defend their flags but not attacking personally, let's glue RESPECT with MODALS, because some people don't understand that they come hand in hand.

Some people ask themselves: Should I get out of the sandbox? Change fandom? Is it really a necessity to burn the place down and just walk out? Build a treehouse of my own? And this is really sad. Because this is not a matter of the tenipuri fandom's nature, It happens everywhere: Harry Potter fans, Bleach fans, Host club fans, CLAMP fans. It's a matter of human behavior, people DON'T respect each other. Period.

But I'm not going to set another fire. There's too much damage already. Whisper is gone on a break, for example, and there's a lot of valuable people (not only for the fic they write) scarred who doesn't share their writing anymore, and we just don't know the way we damaged them for a comment that we wrote and forgot about it or wrote in a disrespectful way.

And I'm not going all "Let's be friends" or "Play nice which other". We're supposed to be grown-ups and right now I'm quite angry. This is not a "Queen of nice" contest.

Let's don't get careless, people, let's have a little conscience.
