You and I.
a home-cooked meal that tastes all the more delicious just because we made it together.
(we certainly aren't chefs, but we're finding our way in the kitchen.)
a bottle of white wine,
perfect at room temperature.
the couch piled high with our most comfortable blankets and pillows.
a dim, flickering light from the hazelnut and french vanilla scented candles covering the top of the coffee table.
both of us in pjs;
hair a little messy and up in a pony-tail, no make-up or fancy accessories ...
just us.
wrapped up in each other's arms watching a favorite movie.
we can say the lines together,
and laugh at the exact same parts.
It is a simple night,
spent relaxing together in our apartment,
just enjoying the company of one another.
But it is a special night -
happy two and a half year anniversary, love.
