To Kill a Pedometer

Jun 28, 2007 20:41

Well almost. I was at a party and it fell off my waist band and broke into a couple of pieces. I couldn't find the face and figured all was lost. I'd been having 'why bother/ what's the point?' thoughts about it all anyway. Then I got it home and realised only the back had come off and the face and fundamental parts were actually all safely protected by the front cover and working once the battery and back cover were replaced.

Still not sure whether i will continue the walk though... I'll see.

ummm... Week of the long weekend Tue - Fri clocked up 43375 steps
The following week I had a sick day on the Monday
Tues - 16654 (big day with visiting of people)
Weds - 8202 (not so big day)
Thur - 7251 (suspicious that the pedometer isn't working/positioned properly)

total of that lot:75482 steps
total distance: 45.29km
total distance to date: 523.43km

The good news is I have been offered a full time job as Fundraising Events Coordinator with the Cystic Fibrosis NSW Foundation.

This is a good thing.
I haven't quite hit the excited stage yet as I am still very sad and very hurt and find it very hard to see and accept the positive things in life.

I'm working on it.

pedometer, job
