And everything happens! A gajillion things happen inmy world AND we get a new Prime Minister. Must be something in the air.
Sorry LJers for leaving you so bereft of information! I've been over on the book of faces extolling my excitement, but for those of you not over facing the book, and for those who just like when I post to my blog, I'll update you all on the last couple of whirlwind days.
Saturday & Sunday - Road trip to Newcastle to visit my Mum and go to the Mordenvale Royal Visit to see gilchrist receive his Much Deserved elevation to the Order of the Pelican. A nice time was had in general and I made a couple of new friends as well as catching up with some fabulous old friends who I haven't seen in aaaaaages.
Monday - Marrickville Council offer me the job proper having passed my medical (I studied all night I swear!). Tried to see my GM but couldn't get him., emailed him to book a time for Tuesday.
Tuesday - couldn't get a time to see the GM to resign. So I emailed him my formal resignation.
Wednesday - met with the GM to confirm I finish next Friday 2 July and to discuss the events currently rolling out.
Purchase trip to China! Went down and purchased my trip, flying out to Beijing to visit wenchilada on Tues 6th July for 6 days. On Sunday 11th July I head to Singapore for 3 nights in a 4 star hotel with a half day city tour and a night safari too! Also put in my visa application which should come back next Thursdayish (talk abotu cutting it fine!)
Today - I fly out to Melbourne in 2 hours to visit counter_ermine, astemudfoot and a bunch of other Melbournites at the Stormhold Winterfeast where we shall party like it's 1485.... ahh Hrothers... gotta love his style!
Tomorrow - I've booked in to Friday Night Drinks at the Melbourne Aquarium wooooo! And general hanging round Melbourne town and seeing Chauntelle of the rockin' coolness.
