The Belle of the Ball
Well that's the plan anyway folks!
That's right, it's that time again... when garter belts, seamed stockings, sequins, feathers, sparkles and everything divine about Burlesque gets dolled up and parties with The Green Fairy at the glittering and glamorous Burlesque Ball.
You might all remember the absolute blast I had last year. I've begun creating a costume especially for this year's ball which you can keep up to date with (as I sew frantically over the next 3 weeks) over at Sewing Rage.
Now I will endeavour to tell you all more about the Burlesque Ball very soon, it's in a new venue at Luna Park, with a new Sponsor (can't wait to get in to some Green Fairy Absinthe) and this year as a part of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.
But more pressing right now is I'd rather see you there, all dolled up and ready to party! Tickets look like selling out in the next couple of weeks before the event. I have been tardy in telling you all about it so I thought I'd better make up for it now.
I already have my ticket as do some fabulous friends like Miss Charlie and Miss Lisa. Another gorgeous friend was going to come and had her tickets but tragedy has struck (in the form of work commitments) and now she has to give them up. So between myself and the couple of friends I know, it seems we have about 6 tickets we haven't allocated - mainly because we haven't told people about them. So contact me privately before next week if you're even vaguely interested and I can tell you more about it and keep some aside for you.
But also stay tuned folks, I'll make the effort to tell you more about the Ball very soon, truly, even if you've never been to any Burlesque before, this is an event not to be missed.
