June Unplugged

After speaking to notsomighty, I'm going to hijack this community for a month for my own cause.

I'm going ahead with June Unplugged, and a number of people have expressed interest in being involved as well.

I think this is pretty much a personal thing - if you want to be involved, great, if not, that's also very fine.  There's not a lot of rules around when you have to participate etc., and I encourage everyone to make their own guidelines or parameters around what is 'unplugged'.

I'll be starting off this Thursday 5th June.  At 5pm I'm turning off my mobile phone and I won't be using the computer, television, Wii etc. for the evening.  I'm choosing this night because Nova and I will have the night to ourselves (a very rare occasion), and I'd really like to be free from distractions for a change.  :)

I'll probably be having a Tupperware party next week, maybe Thursday depending on the demonstrator's availability.  I will be making the Tupperware party an Unplugged event - no TV in the background (but there will be music), and no mobiles!  (Non-Unplugged participants will be encourage them to put their phones on silent and avoid sending message or taking calls in the living room.)

Another thing I'd like to do is organise dinner at Annalakshmi, followed by a walk along the river to the Causeway and back.  That should fill in most of the evening, and it's a good, wholesome activity (can't guarantee that the conversations will be wholesome though, I suspect

murg  may be there!).  Again, mobiles will be strongly discouraged as it's an Unplugged event.

What night suits everyone for this?  Monday or Tuesday would be best for me, either next week or the week after.  Who wants to come?
