I have caught up with all of my shows so far this week. Minor spoilers below for a number of things.
Community was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen, and I was laughing and clapping like a loon through the whole thing. Dan Harmon's utter despise for Glee is a beautiful thing. Modern Family was adorable as usual. Big Bang Theory made me have thinky thoughts about bullies and how what bullies see as having fun the victims see as horrible, and that is sort of why some geeks hate Big Bang Theory and see it as looking down on geeks while others think it's just having fun. So meta, BBT!
Other shows, it was just like, oh here I am again, checking in with these people I like and seeing how they are doing. How are Prentiss and Hotch and Morgan? Oh, they are catching horrific bad guys, as usual. How are Mike and Fi and Jesse? They are concocting over-elaborate plans to bring down badness and protect the innocent, as usual. How are the kids at Lima High? Oh, they are melodramatic and OTT and sometimes charming, as usual. (Red Solo Cup was my favorite.)
Not to mention, how are Danno and Steven and Chin and Kono? Oh, they are beautiful and smart and badass and adorable, and Chin driving a back-ho is SO HOT. Who knew the man knew construction equipment? But then, why should we be at all surprised? This is CHIN HO KELLY, BITCHES.
The latest episode of Grimm was rather torturous for me, though. So many adorable wee ratties! I wanted to pet them aalllllllll. And many of them were little brown Berkshires, berkies, and oh, they made me miss my Bartleby. ::sniff:: Also, Monroe is adorable and his over-earnest speech was so cute, and he would totally turn my life around if he came to my house and ever-so-earnestly urged me to make something good out of my life.
Two important things:
If you are not watching Raising Hope, you ought to be, because it is adorable and hilarious and there's nothing about it that I don't love. See if you can catch all the malaprops! Including one of the word "malaprop"!
Also, if you are not watching Person of Interest, you ought to be, if only because of Detective Carter. I have huge hearts in my eyes for that woman, especially after the last episode. But really, I love all of the main characters, and even have a soft spot for Fusco. It's a great show, original premise, interesting characters with backstories circumspectly and wisely revealed, intense acting and engrossing plots. Highly recommended.
