I'm leaving! I will be gone until Sunday. I know I have also been somewhat absent lately. There's a still a story on my birthday meme that I haven't finished reading yet and that's sad. :( I spent the past few days writing my mini-bang, then sleeping a lot. Also gnashing my teeth about the Airbender movie. I want to post about that, and I will when I get back.

For now, have some kitty pics! Murphy has gotten SO MUCH fatter since we got him. (This is a good thing.)

Here's a pic from the second or third day I had him. I gave him a bath. He did not like it. But he held still for the most part. See: goblin kitty below.

He was reeeeaaaallllyyyy skinny when we first got him. He'd been living outside with about fifteen other kittens from several litters. He got attention from the lady of the house and everything (whom we met and talked to and whom I really liked), but that much competition for milk from the mothers wasn't good for him, I don't think. He was just skin and bones under the fur, was shaky when he walked and didn't move around much. (He also smelled really bad, which the bath fixed.) Didn't play, didn't run around, and I was pretty worried about him.

So I did some internet research on how to fatten up a skinny kitten. I bought wet food, which I don't usually bother with, as well as KMR and Nutri-Cal, and I de-wormed him. Cut to a week later, and his tummy is as fat as fat can be. Not so bad today, maybe, but two days ago it was like a water balloon sticking out from his skinny body. I fully expected him to pop at any second.

Now he's about as normal as any kitten is. His limbs are still a little too skinny while his tummy is a little too fat, but he runs and plays and all the things that kittens are supposed to do. As well as curling up and sleeping next to me, letting me skritch him and stretching out to make sure I get every inch of his big fat tummeh. He seems healthy now and I couldn't be happier. At the beginning he sat on my shoulders a lot because he felt safe there, I think, but now he sits in my arms more often, or on my chest where he can rub his cheek against my face. He's very friendly with everyone else in the family, too.

He's also quite the whiny little thing. Always meowing. ♥

Well, I'm off. Have a good weekend, everyone!
