twasadark posted that adorable .gif and I just had to use it. It's actually appropriate, though. Because.
I POST MY BIG BANG IN SIX DAYS.
Yes, yes, the time is coming very soon. I have only one more scene I need/want/have to write, an "interlude" between the two main parts of the story. I will find time for that soon. In the meantime, I'm quite pleased with what I have.
This is the info I sent to the Big Bang mods for artist selection day:
Title: Coming Down on a Sunny Day
Paring: Gen (with minor canon het pairing in the second half, really more pre-het than het)
Summary: In 2009, Castiel watches the Apocalypse end disastrously and makes a decision. In 1984, John Winchester suddenly finds himself with another little boy on his hands, one with dark, messy hair and sad blue eyes who won't leave John and his sons alone. And so Sam and Dean get a weirdo big brother. Because their lives aren't complicated enough.
Raiting and Warnings: PG13 -- Pre-series AU, warning for possible child abuse triggers, OC character death, time travel, minors in peril.
My artist,
samibee, sent me her final draft of the art last night, and here is just a hint of how amazing that will be:
Also there will be a soundtrack, and I've chosen to populate it almost entirely with songs that my fanon Rain 'verse Jimmy Novak-Singer-Winchester would like. So a lot of folk songs and stuff. I had three Iron & Wine songs when I started out but finally cut it down. Can't seem to get rid of the two Peter, Paul & Mary tracks, though, because both are so very necessary. I will probably move the songs around again before posting it (for like the hundred millionth time now), but here's the current track list:
Waitin' for a Superman - Iron & Wine
Early Mornin' Rain - Peter, Paul & Mary
Learning to Breathe - Switchfoot
Bedbugs - Squirrel Nut Zippers
Hunter's Lullaby - Leonard Cohen
It Is Well With My Soul - Jars of Clay
Stand in the Rain - Superchick
The Littlest Birds - The Be Good Tanyas
Puff, the Magic Dragon - Peter, Paul & Mary
All of Me - Jon Schmidt
Go or Go Ahead - Rufus Wainwright
Last Leaf - OK Go
Boston & St. John's - Great Big Sea
Have You Ever Seen the Rain? - Creedence Clearwater Revival
So, anyone besides me feeling like that bunny now?
