Also, forgot to say that your icon is totally fantastic! I love it! That pesky "your" versus "you're" issue... You know, the last time I saw that infraction, I think it was on someone's scan of their autograph from Misha Collins...

Haha, I'm glad you like the icon! :D I drag it out whenever I start getting wordily geeky.

Apparently, as per the Internet, it's "yonic". But it is a little like trying to figure out the female version of the Oedipus complex,* isn't it.

Ah, Freud. All your sexual theory and innuendo is so patriarchical. It really makes me think that that cigar was not, indeed, just a cigar. Do not even get me started on the whole "phallic stage" of development and its supposed effect on a developing girl.

* Jung says it's the "Electra Complex". That's not nearly a proper metaphor, though, considering that Electra wanted her mother killed in revenge for killing her father, not so she could sleep with him.

Heh, yeah, we totally talked about Freud last night, too, how he was a total douche and obviously worshiped the almighty penis.

"Yonic" just doesn't have the same ring as "phallic," you know? But then, our culture has always been more obsessed with masculine strength than with feminine. ::sigh::

:D I actually studied Latin for three years in high school, so I find it especially interesting, even from a language standpoint. And I've always found etymology fascinating.

But yeah, SamnDean are so going to swear in the Latin ASAP.
