what if we had to pay a tax to speak

i feel that if people had to pay to use the words that they do maybe we would all stop saying so many useless things
like making fun of people, slandering, gossiping
talking about people behind thier back or making individuals the butt of a joke
maybe we would waste less time shooting the breeze and really
gosh i dunno
talk about the things that matter
we might re-think the whole motivation behind why we say what we say
so we are less inclined to use more words to say things that aren't important
like how so and so is wearing the shirt that you wore all the time last year
or about how this person you've had two conversations with is infact very shallow and dumb
man, if it cost us all to say those things i feel that maybe we wouldn't say so much

here is the kicker
are you ready for this?

we do pay for them, the bible says that when we are in eternity
we will have to give an account for every word that we have spoken
we'll hafto own up to it, take responsibility for it

who are you to ever say anything slandering a child of God
