I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have been dealing with all of the crap that has happened to me the past week relatively well. Of course, I’m probably repressing and holding everything in as I am wont to do, but I haven’t had an emotional breakdown yet so I say good for me! I just came home after an average day and got sugared up on oreos while listening to The Postal Service. I think it’s great that they are getting more exposure and all, but I hate how they’re becoming this big underground, scene type thing. Mostly because every time I say I like them, people accuse me of trying to be “scene” or “underground” or something. Yeah, riiiight I’ve only had the CD Give Up for a year or so. Anyway, yay for The Postal Service!
I’m excited for Florida. I got, like a bajillion books from the library yesterday in preparation for the trip and can’t wait to read them all. I love sitting on the beach with a good book. Okay, I just became a woman as I said that, but I don’t care. It’s a really nice feeling. I’m gonna miss my friends though and it sucks that I’m going to miss all the super cool parties, like the wonderful Lindsay’s because of my Floridaness. But oh well, it’s Florida.
Tonight is Veronica Mars! Everyone should watch, really. It’s gotten heaps of critical acclaim and praise and yet people still don’t watch it. It sounds kinda corny on paper and stuff, but it’s really spectacular. Tonight is ‘Clash of the Tritons,’ which is probably the best episode. In it, Veronica is accused of trafficking fake ID’s and must take on the Tritons, a secret society at her school. During the course of this, she listens in on Duncan, Weevil, and Logan’s counseling sessions regarding Lilly’s death, is chased by the Tritons through the school, and (the best part) karaokes to One Way or Another. Kristen Bell rocks my world. She’s an amazing actress and can sing too! Well, duh, she was on Broadway, but still it’s impressive.
