On Friday Mike and I headed towards Milan. We had an 8 hour train to get there, checked into the hotel and crashed because we were so tired. The next day we walked around the city of Milan. We saw this amazing Duomo (cathedral in Milan.) It was one of the most amazing churches I have ever seen, it had such detail it was so beautiful. After walking through the area of the duomo, Mike and I saw some museums and then Mike and I headed towards the place where the Last Super by DeVinci is. We could NOT get tickets, but when we walked over there a man approached us saying he had tickets because 9 people from his tour group bailed and he was selling them for face value. We saw his tour so we bought them and then went inside and saw the Last Super and got a tour of it. The Last Super was one of the most amazing fesco's I have ever seen. If anyone goes to Italy, take a train to Milan and see the Last Super. It is def. worth while. So then we got on a train and headed towards Venice. We got there really late and took a public transportation boat to the island where our hotel was. We found it, went out got some drinks and headed to bed. The next day we walked around and saw many sights including the amazing city of Venice. Venice was very beautiful. I loved the city! We saw teh first Jewish Ghetto that was then used as a Jewish Ghetto again during WWII. We saw some Museums and went on a Gondola ride. The Gondola ride was awesome, I video tapped some of it. I got some presents and they are so beautiful! Also Mike and I saw a Palace near a cathedral that was really cool, but I was pooped on by a piegon. I was kind of mad, but I guess it is good luck. Then Mike and I got on a train to Florence. Florence was awesome. We got to meet up with Sam and James (from IAU) and we got to see alot of museums. I saw the statue of David that was amazing! HUGE! I went see a famous bridge in Florence and another duomo. It was beautiful from the outside, the inside was kind of plain but it was nice to see. We also got to see Michelangelo's last Pieta. It was suposed to be made for Michelangelo's tomb but he was unable to make it perfect therefore he destroyed it until someone begged for Michelangelo's Pieta and he restored as much as possible and now we are able to view it in the museums. Then Mike and I headed to Pisa for the day and then headed to Rome for the next few days. Pisa was really cool, nothing else to see but the leaning tower and a beautiful cathedral next to the tower. The cathedral was one of the best insides of a cathedral I have ever seen. Rome was really cool. The city is different because there are so much ruins everywhere that its modern yet its not quite because of the ruins. There is alot to see. We saw all the ruins, the Forum, St Peters Basilica, Famous Steps, Vatican, Sisteen Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Vittorio Emaneuele Fountain, and the Colosseo. The sisteen chapel was so amazing, I could not believe what I was seeing. The Basilica was so amazing too. Inside was another one of Michelangelo's Pieta's the one of Mary holding Jesus. Also there was a Pope's grave that has a window to see the body. The alter was beautiful but I could not get close to it. We also did a day trip to Pompei. Pompei is really interesting. I was there with tons of people, but because the city is not built up I felt like I was alone in the city. It was so interesting because you could see all the buildings and how the city was set up but there was no roofs. A very cool city to see. If your in Rome see Pompei.
THEN Mike and I got a 6:30 bus to catch our 8:15 flight. Well at 8:15 our plane still wasnt boarding, we were in line until 10:00 then finally we started to board. Well, at 10:30 they canceled the flight all together. About 5 flights were canceled so about 500 people were waitting in line to get new flights or something to get home. We got a flight to Paris and met a british family living near us in Aix. It was a husband, wife, and daughter. Mike, and I and the family got a plane to Paris then we would take the TGV in the AM. Well the Paris plane was delayed until 10:30PM and then it was delayed on the runway another 20 mins. Finally we took off, and after we were in the air for 2 hours, the crew announced that Paris will not accept the plane therefore we were landing in Francfert Germany. However it was the little tiny airport, not the big airport with lots of flights. We stayed at the airport because there was a flight to Montpellier, if we took the bus to Paris like it was offered we would have missed the trains in the AM. SO we waitted till the AM, and begged for the Montpellier flight. After hours of fighting and begging, can calling Ireland over and over, we finally got the flight 5 mins before it was boarding. We RAN through secruity onto the flight and got home to Montpellier. Then took a train to Marseille and a bus to Aix. I made it just intime for my Archaeology Class!

I had a hard time getting everything finished and on friday I AM I headed to Paris to meet Pam at the Airport! We met and headed to the Hotel, couldnt check in so we went for lunch close to the hotel. The Police busted into the cafe asking everyone for papers. It was so weird that has never happened before! Then we checked in and headed to the Louve. Then we went to Notre Dame at night and dinner and the Long Hop (a bar.) Then we went back to the Hotel and went to bed. The next day we went to Notre Dame and saw the amazing view, and did things around the city. Then we went out for dinner and got stuff and hung out at the Eiffel tower for the night. Then we headed back to the hotel. The next day we went to Versaille and then to Moulin Rouge. We ate at the Buffulo Grill, we made Pam eat everything American. Then we headed back to Aix with Pam. We spent two days walking around the city and showing Pam our routines in France. Then Pam went back to the states after a long hard trip. Mike and I miss Pam SOOOO MUCH!

On saturday March 17th, I went to Arles and Glanum. Arles I saw two amipetheaters and the city, along with the city of Glanum which is all ruins from the city years and years ago. Then Ashley and I went to Sonal's house for dinner and St. Patricks Day.
