Nice Trip

Jan 28, 2007 12:43

I met the bus 9:00AM on saturday and headed to Nice (pronounced Niece.) Got a call from my friend Toby. He missed the bus, I felt really bad. We got to Nice, Mike and I walked around, went to the market and then got lunch. I got a black scarf, then ate "The Fisherman's Pizza." It had mussels, shrimp, calamari, tomato sauce, and cheese. It was ok. Then we walked around and met some kids from our program and walked up to the waterfall. We end up with the two girls, they were really awesome! On the way stopping every min to take a new picture because it was better than the last one you took. Then we got to the waterfall and it was amazing and we could see all of Nice. We took lots of pics, got something to drink/eat and then headed back down. We then started out for the Russian Church. It was really interesting, the inside was tiny and there wasnt to much to see but other than that it was great! Then we walked back and met up with the bus. We then headed for our hostel, but the Yamina and the hosts cant count and thought we were missing 2 people but they were on the other bus. So after we realized we had everyone, we finally made it to the hostel. We got our rooms, I was with Diana, Maine, and Mary-Helen. They are sweet. Yamina gave a speech because of what happened last year, we got to have a before dinner drink, and then we ate dinner. It was ok I only ate the french fries lol. Then we went to Monte Carlo Casino for 2 hours. Then we went back to the Hostel for a disco tech (which means night club, dance thing.) It was lame, no one danced and/or there was no one there. So we went back to the room chatted for a while then bed. We got up went to breakfast and then packed and headed out for the day. We went to St. Paul for 2 hours and walked around the city. The city is built into a mountain and is untouched by tourists. Its really an amazing little city. Then we went to Cannes for lunch. We got Mousles Frites (mussels and fries.) Then we walked all along the beach of Cannes. It looked just like Bandol, which is where I went last semester. Then we headed home. Now I am unpacking.

Just a quote from my calender, which is a new french quote everyday.

"Un repas sans vin, c'est comme un jour sans soleil."
Translation: A meal without wine is like a day without sun.
