NaBloPoMo 2015 - Day 24

Nov 24, 2015 22:23

So my daughters and I made 200 pork and chive wontons today.  For reasons.  They turned out well.  We also made banana blueberry muffins.  They turned out rubbery.  Life is one big adventure.

MY husbad has started watching the old The Outer Limits episodes. (1963 to 1965).  Aside from like a zillion familiar faces ( William Shatner &  James Doohan to name just two Canadians...) the special effects.  Wow.  I bet at the time they were impressive.  Now they look like some 8 year old made them flipbook-style. We have become so jaded.

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" was on tonight.  I'd never seen it before.  And I've only seen 12 minutes of it now.  It's no "A Charlie Brown Christmas," that's for sure.

Today's prompt:

Who is an expert you admire and why?

Julia Child!  She wanted to do a thing, then did it, then wanted to show other people how to do it, and then did it.  She almost single handedly changed the way North American eat.  Also, her recipes work and they are invariably tasty.
