Classes are over, thank god after a grueling marathon yesterday of 5 classes in a row, but at least it was just returning exams and playing games, but by the last class I was ready to stop. The highest grade in my exam was 89/100 which is not so good... the boy who got it lived in England for 13years and the next top mark was 85 by the boy who is half american... all the rest got 83 and below and this includes the boy who is top in the year... so I am thinking that I really have to make the next test A LOT easy otherwise I will kill their confidence! although quite a few of them did well in the listening section (that I wrote) they crashed and burned in the writing section which the Japanese teacher set... so it's not my fault :p kinda....
I have the club schedule for the summer break sitting in front of me, and so I will have to train up in Kyuudo a bit so that I'm not a burden on the senior students, and I will be playing a bit of tennis over the holidays as well, I am going to try the Japanese soft tennis on thursday (the ball is different and the string tension of the racket is looser I think) and hopefully while I am down there I will make friends with the girls in the hard (normal) tennis and can start playing with them as well... I am really missing tennis I think this has to be the longest in my life that I have gone without playing tennis, so I am looking forward to thursday however I have a feeling I am going to die on the court because I am no where near fit enough to play a proper game of tennis. But have to start somewhere.
The student are now cleaning around the school and we will have an assembly sometime soon, and by 12pm school will finish, and the kids will either go home or do club activities. I am looking at the training schedule for the clubs and most of the sports clubs train everyday except for the few days during Obon.. they get a small break, but I feel sorry for the soccer club since they start very early in the morning but I guess they beat the heat... and have the rest of the day free to play around. next week kyuudo is all afternoon practices... :p i will go to practice on friday, but I am not confident about going (since the students are sometimes uneasy about me being around) but I will have to make an effort since I have bought all the equipment and uniform.
well time to go find out what is happening next since I managed to bail on the cleaning :) I love not being able to speak japanese sometimes!! cause I know if I spoke more, they would give me a lot more responsibilities.... :p
