In today's digital age, the Copy & Pasting has become just a trivial task that no one ever gives any attention to as how easy it is. The easiest way to recognize the brilliance of this simple operation is to do the same activity with-out the use of any digital media. Imagine you have a piece of paper which you need to duplicate. This is just 2 button job if it is digitized if not. then, one has to manually write the whole thing again, even if one uses a photocopier, the task is simplified, but still a tedious one.
This is one of the few rare aspects of Microsoft which I absolutely love... You can copy paste virtually anything. This can range from files, part of files, objects across different files... This one aspect which is not that easy to use in any other system. Those simple short-cuts of ctrl-c & ctrl-v have now become so universal that others have also adopted it.
People try to put the same same philosophy in their lives also. No one wants to put it a little bit of effort. Everyone just wants a place where they can just copy paste from. One solution for all. (This actually reminds me of an old phrase, "One For All", the famous dialog in the epic of Alexander Dumas, The Three Musketeers.) But what everyone does forget is that, no two people or situations are ever the same. They may belong to a similar class, or may even have 99% similarity, but one must not forget that they are still 1% different. Who knows it may be that 1% which is actually making the difference. (Remember the difference in genetic code of humans & chimpanzee's is just 1%)
So there cannot be a one stop solution for all. It may be same, but a little bit of look on it is always needed. There may be a little bit changes always required, however similar they may be.
This is one aspect of which everyone tends to forget. Do copy & paste. But customize it also. It is not straight copy & paste always. It is Copy, Paste & Customize.
Remember the old saying, Nakal ki liye bhi Akal chahiye...
