I must stop reading novels by Japanese writers who have committed suicide.
Needless to say, Kawabata is great. And by great, I mean twisted.
Next stop: Dante's La Vida Nuova (?); Ezra Pound's "Cathay."
Nothing beats dying a semi-recluse in Venice.
I hope everyone out there's still alive. I believe that I am, but one can never be too certain about these sorts of things.
