Ah, now I'm finally on my last leg here at college. Tomorrow, I'll be moving out. And thank goodness for it. Damn, it's been one hell of a semester. I mean that, of course, in a good way. Oh yes, such things come with their bad moments, but all in all, it's been a excellent time. I'm looking forward to summer, which hopefully shall be restful.
Yesterday, I had an interview at the George House. It's kind of my dream job, but to be honest, now that I've learned what all the job entails, I'm not so certain about that. It's not that the job itself would be difficult, rather, the job needs a year-round commitment, something I cannot do considering the fact that I have a job here and classes during the Fall. So we'll see.
At least I'll be working up here at the Beeghly Library. I'm quite pleased by that matter. It allows me to have plenty of psychic space. In other words, room to think. My mind seems to require that. Sometimes things around here can be downright claustrophobic. But with the summer, I'm hoping to do a lot of reading and a lot of writing.
Speaking of reading, I've been offered another job on the side. Apparently, Dr. Gridley wants me to read over his Jazz Styles book and listen to the music on the cd (which is probably chock full of subliminal messages) and see if it fits what he's describing in the book. Of course, you, dear reader, probably think that that's creepy, what with Gridley and so on. However, with the wages at $10 an hour, I cannot resist. Furthermore, there's nothing like an excuse to listen to jazz.
Ach! One last final! Hurrah or perhaps not for Modern American Lit.
Dear Everyone,
You will be missed over the summer. Hopefully we can all keep in touch. It's been great getting to know all of you.
