Baystate Marathon

My goal for this race was a Boston Qualifier. Since I haven't raced much this year, I judged from the speed on my long runs that it was going to be pretty tight. I planned on even splits on the first half, and then to make a decision about attempting negative splits on the second half, but then, I never follow my plans:

Actually, yes. In Austin, all my Gu fell out of my pocket and my Garmin died, so I had to call "race support" (Eric and Robert) for assistance.

Yay! Run!

I actually got this particular phone (Samsung Juke) because it's small, easy to carry with me while I run, and also works as an MP3 player. It also has the child chaperone thing on it - I had intended Eric to get a device that supports the adult component so if I don't come back in time, or if I get lost he can find out where I am, but he never got around to it. He doesn't care enough.

I freaked out last year after I blew up five miles from home and had to walk. I was in bad shape that day.

Yay! Run!

I actually got this particular phone (Samsung Juke) because it's small, easy to carry with me while I run, and also works as an MP3 player. He doesn't care enough.
