Title: Don't Leave Me Now
Status: One-Shot (~ 7600 words)
Rated: PG-13 for language and adult themes.
Characters: House and Cuddy
Summary: From 7x15 "Bombshells" to 7x23 "Moving On," an attempt to 'fix' the baffling characters' slaughter done in the season finale... probably lame and pathetic, but surprisingly soothing for me to write...

thank you for taking time to read. I'm touched.

and for the timeline, I'd say it was "just" fortuitous since I'd started to write that one-shot with the intention of focusing it on the aftermath of the break up, so 'Bombshells' was my starting point and it was convenient more than it was thought out for that specific purpose. The thing is, this one-shot wasn't meant to include the finlae at first, and even less the bitter feeling left by the knowledge that Cuddy was lost as a character (what a waste!)

But it's also calculated, in a way, because I would not have chosen anything past this point since, my "goal" was also to write that to to bring House and Cuddy back together, and thus, I chose to consider nothing POST break up had happened... so then, why 'Recession Proof'? well, because I'm lazy maybe and because if it had gone back some time before, I would have had to start the downward spirale earlier in House's thoughts and it would have been longer... and probably different.

Not that I think 'Recession Proof' IS a particularly fitting timeline, at least not more than others, for that concept. There're others that could fit, imho.

Actually, just after 'Bombshells' aired, I'd elaborated a theory (which received a rather large echo online...) and for that, I've spent an insane amount of time dissecting scenes and timelines to point out the inconsistencies of the storylines as I viewed them, which (I thought) were leading to a very plausible "reset" of the Huddy relationship; but not as we'd seen it, only fairly founded on new basis, because of the effects of the journey, unreal, but significant. at first, for some reasons, my starting point was "Unwritten": near death experience, car crash, brain damages, memory loss...

It's all there, in my LJ, mostly in March and early April (since I've written that just after the break-up). I've decided to lock all the posts yesterday, but as long as it was public, it generated a pretty crazy wave of "believers" all over the net, and it was fun while it lasted!... :)
