Maybe. We. Don’t. Understand. Love

A Kanda & Allen compilation of short sentences. They were lying around in my PC, so I decided to take them out for a stroll.

001. Evidence

Allen Walker kept a close if subtle watch on the Japanese teen that had just arrived through one of the Ark’s gates.

Kanda was unblemished skin, weapons in place, dispassionate expression full on. But Allen could see the evidence of battle sorrow in those dark eyes.

002. I’m here

The words fought their way out of his mouth before he could stop them….but Kanda had already turned around and left, ignoring Allen’s attempt at comfort.

003. Cry

Through the fog of heat and pleasure and movement, Allen’s eyes opened in a rush, drinking in the sight and sound of Yuu beneath him, crying out in rare delicious abandon.

004. Aloof

Every body thought he was the epitome of the aloof bastard, refusing to give something as simple as his birth date…Kanda didn’t want the others to know that not even himself was privy to such information.

005. Gift

Levellier’s words still rang true and definitive in Kanda’s mind.

He was indeed a gifted warrior. The ability to kill anything, anyone -enemies, allies and friends- was not a common thing to achieve.

006. Embrace

Allen's embrace was filled with longing and rage, his feelings darkened by the certainty that even in the midst of their passion, he was still unable to catch the swordsman’s heart.

007. Possession

He buried his hands in the soft white tresses, tilting his head back and allowing the younger teen to possess at least this part of him, because what was left of his soul already belonged to dozens of white flowers.

008. Superstition

Allen's marks, the scar over his eye and the abnormal quality of his hand, often provokes superstitious whispers among people. And thus Allen is always secretly grateful to join missions with Kanda, who treats him without any scrap of fear or delicacy.

009. Sick

Kanda's sick and tired of Allen's disposition to walk through life as a martyr, accepting every slap and duty with a smile on place. Only the stupid and the defeated would march to their deaths without giving a ferocious fight first.

Kanda reasons that someone has to beat the boy into sense, and he seems to be perfect for the task.

010. Fixation

Every night there is a different detail that catches his attention. The smooth skin on his lover's lower back, for example, is a wondrous expanse of flesh to run his coarse fingers over. That’s why Allen happily ignores how Kanda’s eyes narrow in fake annoyance every time he indulges in this intimate caress.

011. Blood

His hands are dripping red, and his clothes are slowly being infused in the same dark crimson shade. The English teen presses his lips into a thin firm line, swallowing back curse words and yells. It won't do any good to speak now, anyway.

Not when Kanda has bled to death in his arms, and is unable to hear anything Allen has to say.

012. Seconds

They feel like forever, and then longer than that. The seconds Allen has to wait for Kanda to mysteriously return to life are torture and anger coalesced into one knot in his throat.

Allen does not know how much longer he can continue to love the Japanese exorcist without going mad with grief. Not when he is beginning to realize he must cope with Kanda dying time and time again.

013. Luck

The Japanese teen does not believe in luck or fate or any other idiotic notion of the sort. There are reasons - good and bad and worse- for everything. Prices both fair and cruel to pay.

But it is difficult for Kanda to come up with logical reasons to understand how someone like Allen, war weary but still innocent, could possibly be in love with him.
