Visit To KAMAKURA Shrine
I finally visited HACHIMANSAMA(the name of shrine in KAMAKURA) today.
I should have visited on New Year's Day But i couldn't.
Because i was in NIIGATA on New Year's Day.
So today my brother and I went to KAMAKURA together.
We thought it would not be so crowded that's why we decided to go there today.
you know, we had snow yesterday so usually people don't go outside.
But,,,We guessed wrong. There were pretty many poeple...
No one can walk this bridge with snow...
To add to this,it is forbided to walk the bridge in normal days.
Because the bridge has a very sttep slant so person who slip on the bridge came out one after another.
The pond in shrine
Normaly there are some ducks. But today we couldn't see any...:(
This tree,maidenhair tree is very famous for huge!!
And can you see the steps beside the tree?
There are more than 100steps. We went up to pray.
This is the main shrine.
The letters,KANJI says "HAPPY NEW YEAR"
There were many EMAs.
EMA is made from wood and we write our wishes on it and pray to come it true.
Most of them was the wish to "PASS THE EXAM" to get in the university.
My brother and I did fortune slip.
My brother got "SUE-KICHI." It means not soo good fortune. hahaha.
I got "KICHI." It means good fortune. That wasn't soo bad.
The best one is "DAI-KICHI." NEXT is "CHU-KICHI", "KICHI", "SUE-KICHI", "KYOU" and "DAI-KYOU"
SO i got the middle one.
we tied them in the shrine.
After visit to the shrine, I went to buy contact lens.
Then my family went to have a dinner with my grand parents.
We went out. It was prety good dinner:)
I had "GOMADARE MISO pork".
My grandpa was hyper. He made my borther and me drink.
We didn't get drank but he did. lol
He looked very happy. My grandpa is just funny.
We had a good time though.
I had a good day:)
Now I have to go to sleep because I have university tomorrow(>_<)
