The Great Eye Candy V-Day Post (#3 of 3)

Feb 15, 2011 00:31

Okay, so despite my whiny post of earlier tonight, I'm going to lift my spirits and hopefully yours by posting the last of my 3 Valentines Day collages. This one consists of a few loves that came along quite a few years ago but after I finished school all the way up to ones who have just caught my eye and my fancy recently. I hope at least a few of them strike your fancy too :)

  1. Viggo Mortensen - a man of many faces and many looks, there are times when his appearance doesn't really knock my socks off. But when he does? Wham!!! Viggo is one of 3 actors whose on-screen presence has pulled me out of my chair and drawn me toward the screen. His entrance as Stryder in the Fellowship of the Ring accomplished that feat, though, by that time I already knew who he was. When he did it the first time, it was as Lucifer in The Prophecy and Oh. My. Guh!
  2. Bradley James - Arthur in Merlin. Yes, he's very, very pretty and that had me intrigued. As did a set of shoulders that rival Jensen's! When I fell though was watching Merlin outtakes and interview panels and such on YouTube. I'm definitely smitten :)
  3. Alex Despatie - *perv alert* *perv alert* He's only 25 and I've been smitten since he was a teen ::iz mortified:: Canadian Olympian and all around sweetheart, he was the world champion at the 1 and 3 m springboard from '05 to '07 and is the first and only diver to have been World champion in all 3 dive categories (platform too). Alex is simply one of the best examples of good sportsmanship I've ever seen, exemplified when he didn't win gold medals in the Olympics and was seen genuinely cheering on those who beat him
  4. Sam Trammell - Although the latter half of True Blood s3 had me shaking my head at Sam's character arc, I have definitely become a fan of the actor. Hell, it doesn't hurt either that his alter ego is a dog LOL
  5. Rafa Nadal - Guts and grit and humility are an admirable combination. Here's hoping his body doesn't let him down permanently for quite some time to come. He's not just good for Tennis. He's good for professional sports over all.
  6. Steven R McQueen - *perv alert* *perv alert* Yup, I'm doing it again. He's so damn young! I should've included his grandfather in my first collage. My bad. Here's another incredible set of shoulders and he's still a growing boy. I really think the kid's got talent and look forward to being proven right once he grows up LOL
  7. JDM - I don't really think words are necessary, especially coming from me. I still miss John!
  8. Ian Somerhalder - Eye candy with the uncanny ability to still make me sympathize for Damon, even when I don't want to! He must be doing something right ;)
  9. Brad Pitt - Mr Pitt is the first of the 3 actors to pull me from chair to screen. And given that it was his entrance in Thelma & Louise that had that effect on me, I know I'm not the only one. ;). Though young Brad was stunning there, my favourite Pitt period fell between Se7en and Spy Game (pictured here). And this is when I learned to respect the actor too.
  10. Skeet Ulrich - He just does it for me. Too bad Law & Order L.A. didn't :(
  11. Colin Farrell - A Home at the End of the World and In Bruges to name a few - he moves me like few others can
  12. Matt Cohen - adorable and charming as hell. And just a tad gorgeous too. 'Nuff said.
You may have noticed that I skipped the bottom left picture. Well, that's because it's my hubby. We started dating in '86, bought our first place together in '89 and got married in '92. I'd like to think he's a keeper ;)

Oh, and if you're curious who the third actor was who knocked me off my chair and drew me to the screen? It was Jensen as Ben. I think Jensen is a keeper too ;)

I hope you've enjoyed these as much as I have and I hope you had a terrific Valentine's Day too. :)
