morganslady graciously tagged me to do this character meme and picked Dean Winchester for me so how could I resist?
1) Do you like this character?
OMG, yes! I have fallen for many a tv character in the past and Dean ranks as high or higher than any of his predecessors. I love his humor, his taste in music, his taste in cars, his loyalty, his street-smarts, his capable- and resourcefulness, and most of all his love for his family (blood kin or otherwise). That he is a stunning example of manhood is icing on the cake but truthfully, I think I would love him even without Jensen Ackles' gorgeous looks.
A few of you have seen me state that Dean reminds me very much of my hubby and it's true. Their similarities in personality and persona are scary and they share so many traits and enough history that even their baggage is similar. This may sound a little strange but I can honestly say that Dean Winchester has even improved my marriage. After 20 years together, couples can become complacent with each other and just go through the motions but discovering Dean and being reminded so very much of the young man I fell for helped me appreciate my man even more and I'd say we've had a lot more fun together in the last few years than we were having prior to me getting to know Dean Winchester. So, for that alone, how can I not love Dean Winchester?
2) What name(s) do you call this character?
Just Dean. I mean, c'mon, he's "The Dean", right? What more needs to be said?
3) What image/color do you associate with this character?
Image: I can't single out just one but here are some standouts - pride in his Sammy (Sam & Sarah's kiss, Provenance), heartbreak after losing John (the Impala scene in ELaC), agony/ecstasy (saving Lucas in DitW), cockiness with women (ruining the moment with Haley in Wendigo) and I could go on and on…
Color: denim blue… because of what he wears but also who he is; the green of his mesmerizing eyes and; the natural brown of his leather jacket that reflects how earthy and rugged he is
4) What song do you associate with this character?
Raise a Little Hell, by Trooper - this reminds me of pre-deal Dean, the Dean that embraced the family business and found fun in saving people and hunting things
Sweet Child o' Mine, by Guns 'n Roses (or Sheryl Crow's version, quoted below) - because despite the song's intent, it always makes me think of tragic sons and tortured heroes and with lyrics like this…
He's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories

It takes me away to that special place
And if I stared too long
I'd probably break down and cry

…how can I not think of Dean?
5) What blood-type do you think this character is?
Type O - because Dean gives so much of himself, and so often to strangers, of course he'd be able to donate to a wide variety of recipients
6) Which character do you like to put his character with?
Romantically - probably Haley because they really understand each other. I also loved how Jaime and Dean got along. I should pick Lisa but, to be honest, I don't want to see Dean as a parent. I know he is super with kids but being a parent is all about being selfless and I don't want him to have the responsibility of parenthood thrust upon him until he's learned to love himself and live a little for himself first.
Not romantically - aside from Sam, who is obvious, I'd have to say (no surprise here) John. I'm fascinated by their father/son relationship and would love to have seen them in action pre-series, both before and after Sam left for Stanford.
7) What would you want to say to this character?
You are so worthy of goodness coming your way. You are a righteous, deserving man. And your father loved you with all of his heart.
8) What do you want to do with this character: shake hands, hug, or kiss?
That depends on which Dean I'm with. If it's cocky ruin the moment Dean, then I want to kiss him, then jump his bones. If it's exhausted, heartbroken Dean, then I just want to hug him and tell him that everything's going to be all right - and have the power to make that so.

8. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Maple Walnut but I'm not a huge ice-cream fan.

10. Do you like your wallet? Love it. It's a Dooney & Burke I'd never have paid for myself but was about the only useful "gift" to choose from when I went through the catalogue of choices for my 15th anniversary gift for work a few years ago.
11. What was the last thing you ate? A handful of almonds last night, which reminds me, I guess I should eat something this morning.

13. The last sporting event you watched? Quite a bit of The Master's golf tournament last weekend while I was planted on my butt with this damn bug I had (still have)
14. What is your favorite flavor of popcorn? I usually buy Microwave popcorn with extra butter but hubby's not a fan so we seldom have it in the house. In fact, I'm certain it's been more than a year since I've popped any at home.
15. Who is the last person you sent a text message to? Never have.
16. Ever go camping? In a tent… not since 1991. In our little trailer - late September and we'll be taking it out again in a few weeks

19. Do you have a tan? Nope-I alternate between yellowish white and bluish white, depending on the season.

29. Do you go in at a fast food place or just hit the drive through? Usually drive through.

31. Who’s the last person you talked to on the phone? My dad this morning.
32. Any plans today? Laundry, walk Tumble and Dyna at least, spend some time with hubby before he heads off for the week.
33. How many states/counties have you lived in? Army brat, but Canadian, so no states but too many counties to count plus Germany for a few years (before I can remember)
34. Biggest annoyance right now. My dad - I can't decide if his ineptitude is dementia setting in or just him being him.

36. Can you say the alphabet backwards? I used to but I'm not about to try now.
37. Do you have a maid service clean your house? No but if someone's offering it for free, I'll take it.
38. Favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time? My Durango boots - not being able to wear them in summer is reason enough for me to be less fond of the season ;)

40. Is anyone jealous of you? LOL, I seriously doubt that *g*

42. Do any of your friends have children? Yes, but those I spend time with don't have any or they've already flown the coop.
43. What do you usually do during the day? Work and look after my dogs.

45. Do you use the word “hello” daily? Yes, though I'm more inclined to say "hey"
46. What color is your car? I have a Charcoal mini-van
47. Do you like cats? Yes, but I definitely have a preference for dogs.
48. Are you thinking about someone right now? 3 someones actually and they share the name Winchester?
49. Have you ever been to Six Flags? No.
50. How did you get your worst scar? I'm told that as a toddler I tried to crawl into the bottom drawer of an empty, tall, narrow dresser and it came down on me, tearing the skin at the pulse-point of my wrist. It's a jagged scar, shaped kind of like an upside-down "Y" and from end to end a bit bigger than a quarter. I know in my youth my mom worried that people would think it looked like a suicide scar but, as I grew, the scar traveled a bit up the length of my arm to where it's probably almost 4 inches away from the pulse point so, unless people thought my aim was terrible, I can't imagine them thinking I tried to off myself that way.
