A Worthy Cause & The Great JDM Birthday Project

Dec 18, 2008 22:21

As most of you know, the Winchesters dogs are nearest and dearest to my heart and, though I've worn the title of breeder, I can also lay claim to being the founder/coordinator/administrator of a national breed Rescue organization and have personally rescued, housed, rehabilitated (when necessary), and re-homed rescues for about 15 years. I'd bet we've had about 50 rescues through our house and I've lost count of the ones we've been able to place while simply acting as liaison/coordinator.

So, when daddy Winchester and Denny himself - Jeffrey Dean Morgan - started getting more publicity and we started to get to know more about the man behind the versatile roles, I was thrilled to discover that Jeff was such a huge advocate for homeless dogs. As if his good looks, talent, sweetness and bad-assity weren't enough to turn me on to the man, to know that rescue dogs are his weakness, well, that is to love him :)

The link below provides an opportunity for Jeff's fans to celebrate the occasion of his upcoming 43rd birthday and, more importantly, contribute to a very worthy cause: The Brittany Foundation, a non-profit charity dedicated to the rescue, rehab, care, and placement of homeless dogs.

Please check out the DonateJDM.org site and do what you can, if you can, to help.

Thank-you!
