It's kind of funny how life gets in the way of plans. I had all these plans about where I was going to be after my first year of college. I'm...I think none of those places. I planned to not be in a relationship, just doing a lot of the casual dating thing. I planned to not be living with my parents over the summer. I planned to be more of a partier. And yet here I am in...not just a relationship, but the most serious relationship I've ever been in (not that that's hard, but still), I'm living with my parents, and I haven't done much partying since...sheesh, months. Last time I really partied myself out was Senior Prank, and that was in like, April. I planned to reconnect with all sorts of people over this summer, but I didn't. Partly because I haven't had the time or money to do anything, partly because I just don't feel motivated to reconnect with people like Patrick and Ben and Stephanie.

Nothing really turns out according to plan. See, I've got this totally new set of plans for my life. Will it turn out that way? I guess we'll see when next year I look back and say, yeah I'm where I thought I would be, or say well, I was fucking wrong again. I was pretty fucking adamant about those plans I had made a year ago. But after a few months of college, a few months of being around truly amazing people, I kind of let go of my plan and decided, fuck it. What happens is gonna happen. So why worry about what my plans were? They're already in the process of being fucked. Why bother getting pissed off about it.

I'm ready for the school year to start. I'm ready to be out of my parents house. I'm done here. I'm done living in my parents house. Hell, I almost moved out when I was 17. Getting into St John's is what stopped me. I only had 7 months left in Austin, so why bother trying to get a lease? I didn't want to come back this summer, but my parents...they didn't force me, but they can be very compelling without "forcing". Whatever. Here I am. Ain't coming back. Not to live. Hopefully ever again. Guess we'll see how that plan turns out.

Okay, can I go get my own life now?

My leg hurts.
