Electronics can burn in hell

Ugh, last week was a pain in my ass. I spent most of the week setting up some computers in my groups library. As the story goes, each group has a "team monitor" that displays our phone system status and if there are any dealer web concerns in queue. For some reason it was decided that the computers should be dumped in my groups library, and whoever did it managed the most half ass install I've ever seen. It was just a mess.

So, since I was part of the 5S committee (look at it as a sly way to get people to throw shit away) I inherited the computers as a project to clean them up. $200 later and a few days worth of headache later, it was done.

Friday night I pulled the Conquest out of storage. The last autocross of the year was that Sunday so I was going to make sure the car drove right and get it ready. On my drive home I notice the alternator isn't charging, so I rush home and park it. Figured I'd work on it Saturday morning.

Bright and early the next morning, I went out to the high school to check up on the robotics team... the car was charging fine. Cool! It fixed itself! I spent the day installing new speakers and helping a friend with his car. That night, once I'm running my headights, the alternator problem returned. A quick visual look spotted some burnt wiring under the engine bay of the car, so I rebuilt the alternator harness. Eureka! It works! Ten minutes later, it was back to the same old shit. At this point it was 11 at night, so I retired and decided that maybe it'd work Sunday morning.

Bright and early once again! I'm wishing I had slept in. 40 degrees out, raining. Great day for a race! :P And... the car wouldn't charge again. I thought about driving the Malibu, but decided that was pressing my luck. The Conquest went back to storage, the alternator working off and on the whole way, for me to fuck with on another day. Instead I spent the day replacing out router because the signal across the house had gone weak. The new router didn't do any better, but a few tweaks saw an improvement. There's $45 I won't see again. :P

There is some good news though. I think I found a house to rent. Nice little 2 bedroom house with a 2 car garage (and loft) for $550 a month. :D I'll be submitting the paperwork tonight, hopefully I'll be accepted. The house has a few.... quirks, but nothing that'll deter me.

On the workout front, I'm doing better. I bought more weights to step up a few of the exercises, changed a few routines around, and figured out that vitamin B is a very key thing. Progress! :D

The job front is still meh. Submitted my resume to about three jobs lately, but I'm not optimistic about any of them. I miss Colorado and the people I know there. :[
