Who needs hot water?
How's this for a weird coincidence: I booked in the handyman to come over and check/certify the gas boiler this morning. Lo and behold, my hot water failed sometime yesterday afternoon. New flatmate suthainn had to shower in cold water last night apparently. Yikes.
All is fixed now though it seems, and it was a good excuse to work from home (oh the wonders of remote desktop connection).
Luckily I wasn't inconvenienced too much by the water problem as I was away at the lady's flat most of the weekend. A nice time was had, Rotersand at Slimelight were great - I'm always impressed by a band who are clearly enjoying them onstage, it tends to infect the crowd somehow. Then Sunday there was plenty of relaxing and a nice stroll and meal in the evening with the foxy gigib.
