Did I miss something?

No, you didn't. Monday's scheduled episode was to be the sermon I preached on Sunday, which was the final sermon in the series called "The Gospel-Worthy Life" and finishing up the book of Philippians.

But it wasn't posted.

Because it wasn't preached.

Because on Sunday I woke up with a strange rash and, in the age of Covid, I decided to get it checked out rather than expose my congregation to something contagious.

Turns out this was the right move, because the rash is indeed viral in nature (viral exanthem is the name that the doctor gave it). It's a viral infection that presents as a rash rather than respiratory distress like most viruses. And yes, it is highly contagious at the onset.

So I took the Sunday off from church, and took two days off from work at Amazon. I'm going back to work tonight and I feel fine, even though the rash is still apparent (though going away). It doesn't itch, it just looks bad (think chicken pox but smaller).

Anyway, God willing, I will preach the final sermon in the series this coming Sunday, September 6, and will post the podcast on Monday, September 7.

god, sick, philippians
