Singaporeans are so lucky to have such well-stocked libraries all around, usually just a stone's throw away from where they live.
Now, allow me to squee over the stash of books I got right after I applied for my library card today:
From top left: The Art of The Princess and The Frog, An Illustrated Life, Epileptic, Burma Chronicles, The Eternal Smile, The Complete Works of Guy De Maupassant, The Astro Boy Essays, and DK's Guide to Spain.
Membership for EP holders is 53.30 SGD per year, but getting access to so many books I have always wanted to read/buy makes it all worth while! THEY HAVE EPILEPTIC! I have my eyes on the first 6 volumes of the Flight anthology, as well as Udon Studio's Apple artbooks.
Even though book reservations cost 1.55 SGD each, it's worth it, especially when they'll hold the book for you for up to 180 days before releasing it again! I'm second in line for the latest Artemis Fowl adventure, muahahahahahaha!
It's great how books can make me feel so happy and alive inside! <3
