I'm so happy that I finally managed to download the French movie 'Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain' that I've always wanted to watch. I've just finished watching it and I must say that I'm starting to love French movies, at least those with love as a central theme. Unlike the formulatic movies Hollywood churns out, French movies have a special quality about them. Their stories unfold naturally, and it doesn't feel as rushed as their Hollywood counterparts; the movie slowly takes you in, caresses you in its arms, and gently moves you along like a mother would a child.
In other words, it's just a damn satisfying watch.
It's magical the way these movies can leave me feeling fuzzy all over. Now I'm so tempted to go out and buy the DVD but I doubt that I'll be able to find it in local stores. =\ I'm so tempted to watch Liew Seng Tat's 'Flower in my Pocket' now but graaah I don't want to exhaust my supply of good movies so soon... (TT_TT) Dilemma dilemma.
P/S: I forgot to note this fact above: after visiting Paris and watching Amelie, it's funny how my clearest memory of Paris is it's huge train station in Lyon (or was it someplace else?).
