i'm not sure what to think of this - here's my conflict
my first thought is, of course, that you are just being an elitist, and no one can be cool when they do things that you aren't doing and aren't doing things that you are. nothing wrong with that, just the way it is.
but then i think i noticed a trace of bitterness, but THEN, you really threw me for a loop. writing a poem like that while listening to death cab for cutie? it turns out you are a cynical elitist with a subtle but mighty whiff of dorky romantic idealism.
Idealist or cynic your poem still has a twist of truth that can't be denied. Is this the poem you came up with at the volleyball game, while watching girls run around in spandex? Oh the irony. Vanessa
