THIS WEEKEND

Feb 13, 2005 18:22

So I woke up at 5friday morning to catch our flight to Louisville. Get to the airport at about seven and get some starbucks. Find out that our flight has been detoured to Dallas because of rain. So we get in Louisville an hour late. Rent our car. Then drive to Evansville. Evansville… sprouts up in the middle of nowhere. It’s a pretty nice size town with 100,000 ppl living within 6 miles end to end. IT has everything you could possibly need in it besides the bums, the smog, and the trash.. One of the most prettiest towns I have ever seen. So we eat at a Texas Roadhouse, ironic eh? And then go to bed cuz its pretty late. Saturday I wake up at 7 and we eat at ihop then go to the Engineering College for my testing. Upon arrival I meet Vanessa. We talk about how she is in band and plays clarinet and is going out for her civil engineering degree but plans on playing in band still (exactly what I am doing) more ironic is that she goes to highschool in Indiana, but their mascot is the bobcat…. Weird. Yea. So the testing had no math on it… just a crap load of creative thinking questions and some science…. the test sucked ass. Like who knows why they make circular manholes instead of square ones or how many acres can be seen from the top of Mt. St.Helens lmao. So the test is done and we go sit in on some lectures. I am going to be in the honors program there… and their campus in England costs the same as their campus here so I get to go there for a semester. Cool thing is, they only do school 3 days a week in England and we get to take weekend vacations anywhere we want to go in Europe… tite! I had an interview right before Vanessa so we got to talk some more, but my dad made me leave before she got out so I never saw her again but we said we would hook up when we both found each other. Till then, I consider myself single and looking. Afterwards my dad and I cruised around town and smoked some cigars. Found out that I will be going to college for 5 years and spend part of the time working for Toyota (the main industry there… engineers at Evansville design their assembly line) so it will all work out… they are offering me a 10,000 dollar academic scholarship and however much I get for the exam I took while I was there. So my dad and I leave at 5 on Sunday and its pouring down rain… it was snowing in Chicago when we got there but the flights were delayed so I didn’t even get home till an hour after I was supposed to get there. And this freaking 2 year old was behind me so I didn’t get a wink of sleep the entire 3 hour flight. But im home now, and trying to catch up… I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend cuz I know I did.
