live from new york, it's day #1
So day one of the rockette intensive has begun today.it's pretty cool so far. We (me and the other 72 girls in the intensive for this week) went on a tour of Radio City Music hall. It's just how Woody Allen described it in RADIO DAYS, "It's like you're in heaven." I couldn't take any pictures but no picture could explain how I felt. the stage was beautiful. It's humoungus! There are 9,314 seats in the audience along with three balconies. And the curtain weighs 6,ooo lbs! Just all the history there and all the people who come for the shows, the tonys, the grammys. It was amazing. Also our tour guide was telling us how the Rockettes costume changes usually last under 80 seconds. And i was like psh please (not that i said that out loud but please now...try a ten second costume change!) And the staff was talking about how the intensive is so intense that dancers sometimes go home early cuz they get overwhelmed and they can't take it. And I felt like saying (in the Jack Sparrow voice), "Clearly you've never been in the BHSDC." Believe me, after the drama club, anyone would be a rejection and overwhelmed navy seal. I mean yeah my feet but oh well. And some bitch from my class stole my security pass which was hidden underneath my dance bag. I know i should've put the pass in my bag but I was so pissed. but i told the guy in charge nd he said he'd get another one for me. but goddammit. Oh well. It happened. But now i'm just chillin at the hotel and now it's dinner time!
