After one of the hurricanes that grazed here last year, this wall got messed up, and I suppose one or two of the bricks went missing. So they decided to spraypaint "Please do not take bricks" on the wall (ruining it in the process). Of course, this only makes people want to take the bricks. Notice that the word "Please" has been completely removed. It's interesting to watch its slow degradation.
