Yesterday, I took a trip to San Antonio to meet my parents. They live in Corpus Cristi, so it's halfway between us.
We had dinner at the Chart House at the top of the Tower of Americas. The dining portion rotates, so we got to have a great view of the entire city as we ate.
Walking to the tower we passed an outdoor fair. It had a strength test machine where you sling a hammer onto a pad on the ground, and a little metal shuttle flies up to hit a bell. The guy trying to hit the pad wound up for an epic swing, and.... missed. He was so drunk he missed 3 times in a row, and his drunk friends were falling down laughing.
We also walked the river walk, and took a boat tour.
My mom made me cookies and cake for Haloween, yum!
