It's really depressing to look at various internet forums after the announcement of FFXIV, a game who's precursor led to much frustration to many people and just in general seemed to anger a large portion of the userbase on a frequent basis.
People are *ALREADY* jumping all over the game, even though no gameplay has been shown nor have the developers been able to tell us anything about the actual gameplay. It's quite sad to see that a company can simply announce a game, show nothing, and have the support of thousands of people in the blink of an eye - people that not a day before were bashing on the company for doing a terrible job in it's previous endeavor.
I for one, am refusing to pass judgment on FFXIV until we see some actual gameplay footage or get some more information about jobs, etc.
I just wish people weren't dropping their interest in other MMO's (The Old Republic and Aion namely) so readily when Square-Enix flippantly announces something.
Give other things a chance people, especially when you know little-to-nothing about this game. Stop being lapdogs for Square-Enix and hopping onto the bandwagon immediately.
