2007 Canton Relay For Life

Nov 15, 2006 09:47

As part of my fundraising efforts, I will be doing the 2007 Canton Relay For Life!! If you don't know what Relay For Life is, this will explain it the best:

Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

The Canton Relay For Life will happen on May 19-20th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Park in Canton. If you would like to spend the night at my & Jim's place that weekend, that's perfectly fine. The event is a 24-hour event that is very fun and very exciting!!

If you would like to participate, please give me a call at 734.255.2403. I'm letting you know in advance if you would like to participate! I will be the Team Captain for the the team. I'm still in need of a team name, but I'll be thinking about it later. If you would like to participate on the team, please let me know by January 8th (which is over 2 months away).

There is a $150 team fee which we will split evenly through the team - ie. more team players, less amount of team fee you'll have to pay!! Also, there is a minimum of $100/person you can raise for Relay. It's not that hard to raise $100. I'll talk about how to fundraise with all of you at a later date. Also, all participants will be getting free commorative t-shirts as well. I'll be explaining more of it after the March 1st which is the Kick-off Date.

I'm also going to post this to my Myspace in case some people don't see it there either. If you would like more information about the Relay, please click on this website to learn more!!
