Another anniversary of today: Mozart
Reading about Auschwitz makes sad. But today we have also another anniversary:
27.01.1756 - Birthday of W. A. Mozart
For all who love his music, I would like to remind you of his birthday today. I took it as an occasion to brush up my knowledge about him and found that the German Wikipedia provides a detailed biography with known and less known details about his life. For instance, I did not know he called himself Wolfgang Amadeus only when joking.
Or that he invented a game, in which one could create a minuet by playing dice :-): Mozart's musikalisches Würfelspiel.
I have heard before about the effect of classical music on body and soul, used for therapy. But I did not know it was called Mozart effect. And this Mozart effect is even said to raise people's IQ, at least for a while. *lol*
Hm, I wanted to write an entry about my panoramic photos ... But perhaps I should go and listen to some Mozart music now ... :-)
