WTF TORNADO?!
The hell? Really? REALLY?!
What in the bleeding hell? Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens got hit with a tornado. The last time we had crazy twister weather was in August of 2007 and my neighborhood got smacked with an EF2 tornado. Yea, good times.
I knew we might get rain/thunderstorms today, but I wasn’t feeling well (I was freezing my butt off today, don’t even ask me why-I’m sitting here wearing a long sleeved v-neck shirt. Don’t even ask) and I decided to take a nap. I woke up when I heard a thunderclap, thought “oh boy, better take Esme out for her stroll now”, quickly harnessed the hound, and then ran outside. Thankfully, she did what she had to do within a few minutes because the lightning was crazy. On one side, it was an ominous iron-grey and I was like “shiiiiit, better get inside NOW”.
Thank all the Gods I did because once I got inside, the sky turned pitch black and the opened. It was a monsoon, I swear. I thought to myself “heh, tornado weather”.
Welp, chalk up another one for Amanda and her meteorology nerdiness ’cause I was right.
Dad calls a few minutes later saying that there’s a tornado warning and a funnel touched down by the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and/or by Park Slope. Cue me yelping MOM THERE’s A TORNADO, I’M WATCHING THE WEATHER CHANNEL, firing up the laptop, and tweeting like a dork.
My friend’s Facebook status was epic, though: “…so there was a tornado in brooklyn today. i tried to inform my boss, but she was busy flying her broomstick outside people’s windows.”
WIN.
It was seriously insane though.
On the bright side:OMG PARADISE LOST MOVIE. My English major side is geeking out at this news like whoa. Mark Pellegrino for Lucifer people, accept no imitations. He was fantastic in Supernatural and needs to reprise the role for the big screen.
Also, can a Supernatural fangirl get Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, or Jake Abel as Michael in the movie? Please? Please? Pretty please? *sad puppy eyes*
