Arashi!

I have gotten in Arashi... I always knew who Arashi is and I knew the members, but I've never really properly set down and watch one of their shows or dramas. This summer, starting from the first week after I get off from school in May, I've been on an Arashi fix. I've read translations, dled files, joined communities, and watched their shows. They're so happy! They make me so happy. They might not be the best singers, dancers, or look super kakkoii (like dbsk), but from what I can see, their personalities are so unique and normal. I think it's the normalcy of Arashi that makes them great. The fact that everyone steps back and support their members. The fact that they hang out and know each other's numbers. The fact that even though they produce top selling singles, act in some really great drama, and make loads of money; they put stockings over their heads, hunt for moles and UFOs, and just embarrass themselves. Plus, the atmosphere among the five... I envy that!

Before, I was an avid Kat-tun fan, but even then, I had some beef with how the group was managed. For example, Akame had too much attention, the other four just blended into the background. Sure, it got better with time and they did their own solo projects, but I didn't feel any group dynamics. Kame was my favorite, but I think he is my favorite because he's in the front allll the time. I didn't know much about the rest of the members. Now with news of Akanishi leaving, I don't really feel much of anything. All I can hope for is for him to be happy in America and make quality music, none of that go club get drunk crap. Best of luck to Kat-tun! Sadly, I don't think I can follow them anymore.

I will be talking more about Arashi in this journal =D.
