Where's your geometry now, compass man?

The night before trackday me and JT were riding around in the big brown cefiro, and I mentioned that I didnt really care if my car fucked up at the track, cos I was leaving the country anyway.

So I was completely prepare when the seals around my waterpump blew (we believe) and my engine temps went supernova on about lap 3 of the first session.

I had enough driving time for my brakes to fade out (3 laps), my tyres to go all Astroglide on me (2 laps) and to remember how much work I want to do to the car before it goes trackside again.

I managed to finish the session just cruising (temps were of the scale but engine ran fine. Go SR!), pulled up in our little base-camp in the scrutineering shed and called a tow truck driver that Dave knew. Made a deal for Ipswich -> Bracken Ridge, only $130. Bargain.

Also, the in-car video from my car didnt work, the in-car video from JT's car didn't work, and I dropped a hot-dog on the ground. That was just annoying.

The good news was that, for the first time, Phil had a blinder. In some strange twist of physics all the heat generated by my engine seemed to absorb it from his, and the FC ran just dandy in every session. And JT's Cefiro destroyed everything in its path, street-car and race-car alike. I don't even think he complained about it all day, incredible.

Around 4:30 my new best mate for life rocked up with a tow truck and me and JT followed my car to grandmas house. After a lengthy posturing session by the local 5-0 about the Ceffy being unregistered, running a tradeplate, and looking totally gangster, we left my car at its new home for the next 4 odd months.

After that it was off to Phil's to meet the rest of the gang and hit up some pizza. We went to Arrivederci's in Milton and got into these meter long pizzas that went alright.

Before I knew it, we were heading down to the Gold Coast in the 380 to ride dodgem cars. So we did and it was good. The drive up and down was hilarious.

By the time I got home I was absolutely shagged. I've spent today uploading photos and putting together my Brazilian Visa application.
