So last week was largely a cavalcade of sadness and dealing with hardship as my living relative count dropped by one, but the period wasn't without its bright spots and I got by rather well thanks largely to my family and friends. It's officially become crunch time with regards to moving into the new place and indeed moving forward with life.
My books are all boxed - at least the ones on shelves. I had completely forgotten how many of the bloody things I have. I think one particular sickness with which I'll have to get down is that in these last ten days this place is going to become a disaster. The book-boxes already form a building-like stack in front of one of my dressers, and when the big systems of Skynet get collapsed and ~especially~ all the freaking robots, it's going to make the inside of the Roost here look like a game of Tetris I'm about one-point-one seconds from losing.
But aside from turmoil and packing, everything's going alright. It's not fantastic or amazing, but it's good. A few games to play, ~so many toys~, and only nine more working days (including today) before my big break. The small picture is pretty convoluted right now, but the big one's good.
Peace out.
