why is the science of math so slow to advance? is it just me or are we studying the same thing as pupils a century before us? computer programing should be a core class. i think it would set us up much better for the future if we learned to optimize the use of resources we have available rather than study an aging science. trigonometry is a particularly useless math: using triangles to study a circle? how the hell does that even make sense. eh, whatever. now i must waste more time studying art history: more of the past. oh, bother.
