Parents These Days

Apparently this has been a slow news week in many parts of the country. Because in multiple locations newspapers have been printing this story:(which isn't available on my crappy local paper's crappy website) of 7 little b***hes and one big b***h mother. The mother drove her daughter and 6 friends to the store helped them to buy eggs, toilet paper, adhesive tape, syrup, and other materials drove to their English teachers house and vandalized it. They even painted on her driveway: "F**k You B***h" The mother also apparently provide them with advice on HOW to cause the most damage. WTF was she thinking you ask? That her daughter's teacher was MEAN!!! Yes, the teacher believes in order in her classroom and refuses to let these B***HES BULLY other students and believes that SHE as the TEACHER should run her classroom not these girls.
Now I have known this woman since I was seven years old, she and my mother taught together, I consider her a friend, I am friends with her daughter, and I was even her student. I never laugh so hard as when in her presence. I KNOW this woman, I have spent time with this woman and I must say that she is not a mean woman. She's funny, kind, and a wonderful teacher. Yes, she made you actually WORK in her class--heaven f**king forbid. I come from a family of teachers, both my parents, my grandfather, my aunts, my uncle, all taught or are currently teaching and a couple of my cousins are getting teaching degrees and from all of this and 12 1/2 years of public education I have learned this: A teacher who makes you work isn't mean, she doing her job which is to provide students, even ungrateful little bastards like these with an education.
What upsets me the most is that this issue has hit the internet and most people are demanding how this woman could call the police over a little bit of TP? What's wrong with her, doesn't she or the cops have anything better to do with their time? Well, for one they are forgetting the other materials used in this little act of juvenile hi-jinks, the second is that she had to PAY a company to come and professionally clean up all of this CRAP off of her house and driveway and because of all the acid in many of the materials they used it looks like they are going to have come back and go over it all again.
In my mind to make this worse she found this criminal act of VANDALISM after returning home from helping her daughter move out of state to start her medical internship over Memorial Day weekend, after an all ready long and trying month. Back at school she got lucky and intercepted a note that one little brat was writing to another where they talked about what happened, mentioned the other little brats and also detailed their plans to do this to other teachers. (Lincoln is a fairly small community of roughly quarter million people but tends to think of itself as a much smaller town. Many people still don't lock their doors at night. A lot of teachers have their name, number and address in the phone book--I know my parents did.)
I wonder what all of these people who think she's a big old meanie for calling the police would do when faced with several hundreds of dollars damage to their home and property. The company she called gave her a break on the charges because the owners' kids had her for English and the guy they sent over worked several extra hours without pay just to fully get their little "message" completely off her driveway and not just faded out because he had her for English. I know that without these breaks these costs could have run easily into the THOUSANDS of dollars. To those folks I have to say a loud and hardy  F**K YOU and I hope something like this happens to you!!!  To find this article in other papers or message board comments just Google: mother drives daughter to TP teacher's house
