Whoot!
I reached the 100-page ScriptFrenzy goal today. Yeah! I now have five completed issues of Yakuza! If you're on the NaNo LJ community, please take a look and critique, I'll be adding Issue 5 this evening.
I kind of hope I can stay on my role, and write the entire story...at least 12 issues, though possibly more if I find there's more story to go around. After that, the question is what to do with it. My publisher was interested, but I haven't talked to him in a few months, and I don't really trust him to get anything done...so it may come down to me finding (and funding) my own artist to do the drawings, then submit it to another company. I just hope it's good enough if that ends up being my best option.
Also, because it's taking place in Japan, in a somewhat current timeline, I'm going to be writing an issue (it looks like Issue 7 right now) which will involve the earthquake/tsunami. If I should get any proceeds on that issue, they'll be donated to a Japan relief group.
