(no subject)
I was on the set of a science fiction movie, a bad one, Sci-Fi Chanel bad and the main actor, a young guy was being funny by singing about the props and the scene he was supposed to act in and I started following him, because he was so funny, so, forward through the stage we go and he points at stuff like Anubises and Toths and next thing he points and sings about is a lion, but then he says "A LION!?" and yep, there it was: a real lion, so we grab hands and run and at some point I turn and the lion is gaining on us and I said to the guy so and when we thought that we were going to be jumped on by the lion, it passed us without even looking at us.
It turns out that the poor sweetie had seen his trainer among the crew behind us and longed to be with him.
Val had come to visit and while we were going to sleep, she begged me to go to the old stereo system in the living room (the old stereo system being the one my dad had when I was little and the living room the one we had when we lived in Buenos Aires with my family) and listen to the old tapes and records.
So here we were, both with headphones in our pajamas, curled up on couches and I fell asleep, but, next thing, I'm back in bed and now it's morning and Val is in the kitchen making big preparations, because we were going to have a second birthday celebration for Kendra. There's stuff everywhere, all kinds of toys and food packages and plates and birthday hats.
I was inside checking on EMails and there was this one EMail that was a scam, but, for some reason, I had to read every single word in it before deleting it and when I finish it, I go outside, to a beautiful, rugged kind of country and there, my entire family plus friends of the family are sitting down at a long table, waiting for me, the table has white linens that flap in the breeze and the trees on top are blooming pink and there's beautiful food and beautiful dishes and as I sit by my cousin, I tell everyone what the delay was and and my cousin says "never mind that, let's get to the deviled eggs!".
