His reward would be great and he would be striking for his people's freedom. He pushed on, nearly to the center of the crowded market.
He didn't see the burka clad female until she collided with him. He cursed to himself, his hands jerking reflexively out from under his robes to push her away. He froze when his eyes met hers.
"Please beg pardon good sir. I didn't see you." She cast her eyes down humbly as was proper as she offered her sincere apology. "Please forgive my clumsiness."
Her eyes were soft and pretty he noted as she looked away. She was probably his age, not past her teenage years for certain. He knew he should be incensed at her distracting him from his mission but her soft words and kind eyes doused his wrath before it could form.
"No, it was my fault. Please, be on your way." He mumbled as he moved past her, his hands returning under his robes to ensure his package was undisturbed.
She smiled, it showing in her eyes brightly, and nodded. She pushed through the crowd quickly and disappeared behind a corner after a short time.
Khalid shook himself and uttered a silent prayer. "Allah's will be done." With a final look around, he pushed his button.
