The end is near!

Classes ended a week or so ago, although I haven't even attended some of my classes for months due to vacations, dates with the prefecture, and classes being moved without my knowlegde. There have also been so many random "holidays" and greves (strikes and manifestations) here in Dijon that it feels like nothing is ever accomplished. I have a final tomorrow for version and one on tuesday for my civilization class. After that I only have to pass in two papers to UNH and then I'm done! Maybe another vacation from my vacation is in order before I leave. Portugal anyone?

Despite all the holidays and everything being closed here, I have managed to get some things done. For instance, I went to my first opera and saw Madame Butterfly. Decided I dont like operas. Not sure if it was just the opera itself, the fact that it was in Italian with French subtitles, or that the woman sitting next to us smelled like she hadn't washed in years.

This past Saturday night I went to Courtney's host mom's choir concert. It was really good and I liked the songs, and yes, they were all in French except for "We will overcome." It was a mixture of the Granite State Choral Society and SHS Music shows with show choir moves. It made me remember how much I loved to sing and be in those concerts. Maybe I will again soon.

This weekend I'm going to Grenoble, France with Courtney. We will stay with her friend Michelle who also goes to UNH. It should be fun - somewhere that's not Dijon for a couple days should be nice.

22 days until home! or something like that...
